Dear Lord,
Before we compete today, we take time to reflect on the goodness you've brought into our lives. We thank you for the great ability to play football and are grateful for the privilege of competition. We thank you for the friendships we've made, and the opportunity to represent our families and our school. Lord, we pray that you protect and keep us safe during our upcoming trial. You are our strength, You are our endurance, and today we honor the gifts you've given us through our effort, intensity and sportsmanship. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
